Stress is an inevitable part of modern workplaces. While a certain level of stress can enhance focus, motivation, and performance, excessive or unmanaged stress can lead to burnout, disengagement, and reduced productivity. Understanding and managing stress effectively is therefore critical to both individual wellbeing and organisational success.
This program helps participants distinguish between optimal and excessive stress by exploring the body’s natural stress response and its impact on performance and wellbeing. Using a neuroscience-based approach, participants will identify their unique stress patterns and learn practical, evidence-based strategies to manage stress, build resilience, and sustain high performance within their “stress sweet spot.”

Key Workshop Components:
In these programs you will explore:
UNDERSTANDING THE STRESS RESPONSE. This component familiarises participants with the common physiological and emotional responses to stress, and learn to distinguish between ‘optimal’ stress and ‘undue’ stress. Participants learn about the negative impacts of undue stress on work performance, productivity, and mental health.
STRESS SIGNATURE. In this component, participants are encouraged to recognise and identify their own personal responses to stress, with a particular focus on how stress affects their thoughts, behaviour, feelings, and physiology. This component is designed as a practical activity to encourage a proactive and personalised approach to stress management.
WORKPLACE STRESS. This component identifies common stressors at work (both personal and social/organisational), and participants are encouraged to reflect on the stressors that are most likely to affect them. This provides a further opportunity to reflect on the nature of ‘optimal’ v ‘undue’ stress in a workplace setting.
STRESS MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES & SELF CARE. This component emphasises the importance of self-care and provides a variety of strategies to reduce stress and promote well-being. These include exercise and diet, sleep, thinking practices, social support, emotional regulation, gratitude and mindful meditation.
MINDFULNESS [Extended Programs Only]. Underpinned by scientific research, our extended program focuses on mindfulness as a key stress management tool. Participants develop a more nuanced understanding of what mindfulness is, and how it works to alleviate the physiological stress response and promote wellbeing.
